Climbing is relatively a new sport in Sri Lanka. The rugged terrain of the Knuckles Moutain Range offers some great places to climb. Climbing the rock face of the Bambarakanda Waterfall (Sri Lanka's highest waterfall) is an intoxicating experience. In Sri Lanka, there are also many caves, due to which the interest in caving continues to increase. Some caves are 500 million years old, so you can go on a journey into the past. One of the caves is Beli Lena Caves, 5km along a mountain road just outside the city of Kitulgala.
